the idea
Canga began with a simple thought:
Something essential was missing from beach days.
Growing up in Brazil, cangas were always part of our beach days. From discovering new beaches and picking up a colourful canga from a local shop to laying it on the sand, wrapping it around our waist and heading off for the rest of the day.
It was never just something to take to the beach. It was part of a carefree way of living, where getting dressed after a swim could be as simple as tying a piece of fabric around you.
After moving to Australia, I realised how much I missed that little part of beach culture. And that's how Canga came to life, to bring that same feeling of freedom, colour and simplicity to everyday summer moments.
Inspired by nature, vibrant cultures and the places we love, every Canga tells its own story through original prints, beautiful colours and thoughtful details.
More than just a sarong, it's a little reminder of sunny days, salty skin, spontaneous adventures and the freedom of summer.
